“Wellbeing” is a word that we hear attached to so many things these days, it’s a real buzz word right now!
Sometimes it conjures up images of people floating around in a constant state of zen like bliss, which is totally unrealistic right?! That can then lead us to believe this “wellbeing” thing is just not for us, but wellbeing can be so simple, cost nothing and it’s for absolutely everybody!
Here are a few of our tried and tested ways of caring for your wellbeing, which is really all about checking in with yourself to see how you are feeling:
1) Listen to inspiring, motivational, positivity speeches.
This is one of my favourite ways to instantly lift my mood! Pop over to YouTube and check out some of these little gems – find the ones that really resonate with you and save them. Its a wonderful way to start the day!
2) Make time for yourself to do something that you enjoy.
We all have a “to do list” that we don’t always feel like doing right? And there’s always that one thing on there that we’re avoiding at all costs! So how about we set aside some time, even if it’s just 30 mins, to do something that we love and makes us feel good? Mine would be listening to my favourite pod cast, reading a book, soaking in a lovely warm bath, or listening to my music.
3) Spend time outdoors in nature.
It’s so tempting to cosy up indoors during the winter months isn’t it? I am a real home bird so I totally get this! But I know how much better I feel for getting out in the fresh air, for a nice walk whatever the weather, or pottering around in the garden has the same effect. A lack of vitamin D can really affect our mood, and it’s very common for us to be low in this essential vitamin. One of the best ways to counteract this is to make sure that your get outdoors into the natural light.
4) Spend time with the people you love and those who make you feel good.
There’s nothing quite like meeting a friend for a coffee, or having a good old natter over the phone. Laughter really is the best medicine! Social interaction is incredibly important for us as human beings, and it’s something that we have really missed out on during this pandemic. However note to self here… being around negative people can be toxic and make us feel worse! So it’s absolutely ok to be selective about who you choose to spend your time with!
5) Take time for YOU and indulge in a treatment at Eden.
Of course we couldn’t share our top wellbeing tips without adding an Eden treatment in here! After all, it’s the best way to switch off in our cosy rooms and have that all important ‘me-time’. So why not browse our range of indulgent Elemis Facials or Eden Massages on our website to take your ‘wellbeing’ to the next step this 2022…?
